Regardless, it is still one of the most widely spoken languages around the world. That doesn't mean that some of the words don't have a ridiculous meaning in a different country, though. Hint: calling someone a "brat" in Russia isn't an insult.

In French, this is a paperclip. "Anyone need a trombone?"

Are you ready for a mind-trip? In Swedish, dump means "bump."

In Italian, this is a chilli pepper. Tasty!

This means “cellphone” in German. Makes sense.

In German, this means “awesome” i.e., Das ist so hammer! (That is so awesome!)
